Soarin' over California

Epcot's latest ride SOARIN' is one of the best rides I have ever been on at any Walt Disney World park! This ride opened last year, and it has been a huge success since it opened it's gates. Soarin' makes you feel like you are hang-gliding over the entire state of California, from being on top of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, to the Redwood Forests, to Pebble Beach and more. The ride starts by lifting you up 50 feet in the air, and you are looking around at this giant projection screen dome where you feel the wind in your hair, and smell the fresh oranges and pine trees in the scenery. Soarin' is Hands-down - best thing Epcot has done in a decade!

Epcot used to get this reputation of being "educational" and "for adults", but that is not the case anymore. It still is very educational, but with all the new rides geared towards younger audiences, it is time to bring the kids back to Epcot. Within the last 5 years, they have been bringing exciting, new rides such as Test Track, The Seas with Nemo and Friends (brand new for 2007!), Soarin' and Mission Space. I'm telling you, do not neglect Epcot on your Disney World vacation anymore, as it has propelled itself back into a top-tier attraction. This is why the Park Hopper pass is so important. You can go to all the parks you want, and not miss anything. To buy your Park Hopper tickets, CLICK HERE !

Disney's Year of A Million Dreams

DW Tickets Blog Man here, and if you have not visited Walt Disney World in 2007, you are definitely missing out. For the entire 2007 calendar year, the Walt Disney World Resort is promoting it's "Year of A Million Dreams". People everyday are being randomly selected by a member of Disney's "Dream Squad" to participate in magical happenings, such as spending a night with their family inside a suite at the Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle, being a Grand Marshal of a Disney Parade, or even winning a $1000 Disney shopping spree. All you have to do is be inside one of the parks, and if you are lucky enough, a Dream Squad employee will simply tap you on the shoulder and tell you that you were that day's lucky winner.

A couple of months ago, a friend of mine and his family were at the Magic Kingdom, and his 13 year old son was tapped on the shoulder by a member of Disney's Dream Squad while standing in line at Space Mountain. That afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers were in town, for their game against the Orlando Magic the following night. My friend's son was taken to a Disney back-lot and got to meet LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, receive an autographed basketball and Lakers jersey, and was able to shoot hoops with Kobe for about an hour. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I knew if you were selected, you could win Disney related stuff, but shoot baskets with Kobe Bryant ??? The very next night, some lady from North Carolina won a week-long Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. This 'Year of A Million Dreams' thing is amazing, and the only way you can win, is to be at Disney World.

I guess what I'm saying is, get your entire family over to Disney World and take advantage of this incredible promotion, because you just may find yourself sleeping in Cinderella's Castle, and watching fireworks from your bedroom window inside the Magic Kingdom, while everyone else is home, wishing they were here. In order to have a chance to win, you must come to Disney World - and the best place to get your Disney World tickets is at DW Tickets. Water Park Fun .... AND MORE !

It looks like Florida's one month season known as "Winter" is wrapping up, and the temperatures are climbing back to the 70's and 80's. Spring Break is around the corner, the skies are blue and sunny, and there is a buzz in the air all over Central Florida! Sweaters and jackets are being swapped for tank tops and board shorts, and the water parks around town are cranking up into high gear.

For the next 6 months, your visit to Walt Disney World cannot just be about theme parks - it's time to take advantage of this beautiful weather and cool off in the H2O. There is nothing that gets me more excited than knowing I have the option to leave my Walt Disney Resort theme park in the afternoon, cruise over to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, or my hotel pool - and get in the water ! Obviously the hotel pool is a nice place to kick back and relax, but this is Walt Disney World, and I want some action. The Disney Water Park Fun & More ticket is truly a stoke of genius. Water Park Fun & More passes allow me to start my day at any one of my favorite Disney theme parks such as : Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, or Animal Kingdom.... and then go to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest, Pleasure Island (at night) or the Wide World of Sports Complex. I can add more attractions, days, and value to my ticket for just a tiny increase in price. The flexibility makes me feel like I own the place, and I can see pretty much everything I want.

Last night, after coming back from dinner at Epcot, I used my Water Park Fun & More ticket to get into Pleasure Island, and the nightclub scene was pretty intense. I felt like I was in South Beach or L.A. and the variety of music inside the clubs was fantastic. I'm going to save some energy though, because next weekend I'll be at Disney's ESPN : The Weekend at MGM Studios, and if you read my last blog -you'll know just how amazing of a time it will be. Until next time, this is the Official DW Tickets Blog man signing off. Have a great weekend!

ESPN The Weekend at Disney MGM Studios

Hey everyone - I am the official DW Tickets Blog Man, and will be coming to you every couple of days from the best vacation destination on the planet- Orlando, Florida. Next weekend is a really cool event at Disney's MGM Studios from March 2-4, 2007 : ESPN - The Weekend is returning to Walt Disney World, and I cannot wait to go. For those of you that do not know what this is, ESPN The Weekend is a one-of-a-kind experience for sports fans of all ages, and has a lot of my all-time favorite sports celebrities coming out.

Super Bowl champs from today's generation and past such as Ben Roethlisberger and Jerry Rice will be in attendance, as well as Super Bowl XL MVP Hines Ward, former NBA Superstar David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs, 4-time Super Bowl champion kicker Adam Vinatieri, and many more. ESPN will be conducting 'SportsCenter' from MGM Studios with T.V. personalities such as Dan Patrick, Stuart Scott, Baseball Tonight's Peter Gammons, Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic from Mike&Mike in the Morning and John Kruk will be working out of Disney World next weekend. This is an annual event that is becoming more and more popular each time. I heard a rumor that Michael Jordan may even be in town for a special guest appearance on a Disney parade float! Beside the plethora of sports celebrities in town, there are interactive attractions where you can test your skills and knowledge of sports, and learn about the daily operations of America's sports network - ESPN.

As a sports fanatic and theme park enthusiast, ESPN The Weekend at the Disney MGM Studios is like a dream come true for me. Come down to Disney World and experience this once-a-year event March 2-4. If superstar athletes like Jerry Rice, Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward, Michelle Kwan, Andy Pettitte, Drew Brees, Craig Biggio and possibly Michael Jordan are coming to Disney next weekend - I'd be crazy not to come out and try to get some autographs and pictures with them. Hope to see you there at Disney's ESPN THE WEEKEND !
