Are you ready to try your luck? Halloween Horror Nights opens tonight!

It's easily the most anticipated Halloween event in Orlando, and it opens tonight for the 21st time -- Unversal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights.

This year features eight houses, six Scare Zones, two shows plus other rides and attractions open late into the night. Here's a rundown of themes so you can plan your terror:

Haunted Houses

Forsaken: Four ships left Spain to find the fabled way to the East. Three ships found America. One ship sunk. Wonder what it found...

HR Bloodengutz presents: Holidays of Horror: Enjoy the holidays with your Haunting Host. You'll never quite think of the Easter Bunny the same way again...

In-Between: Don't trust your senses; everything plays tricks here, in a haunted house where two realities have collided. What can you do when your own eyes deceive you? Try to find your way out...

Nevermore: The Madness of Poe: The Master of the Macabre, the Icon of the Insane. Take a trip into the mind of one of the greatest horror authors of all time. Just watch out for the Ravens...

Nightengales: Blood Prey: It's World War One and you're in the trenches. Haunting the fields are the dreaded Nightengales, banshees that prey upon the weak and the wounded. Watch your back and try not to limp...

Saws 'n Steam: Into the Machine: Spinning blades, dripping walls, what could possibly go wrong in this hardware horror show? Quite a lot, actually...

The Thing: It's freezing cold. Flurries float through the air. And absolutely nothing -- and no one -- is what they seem...

Winter's Night: The Haunting Of Hawthorn Cemetery: Another chilly adventure awaits you. Snuggle up tight as you enjoy a quiet walk through a serene, Gothic cemetery. Don't mind the shadows; that's just the trees and the tombstones. Or is it...

Scare Zones

Acid Assault: The acid environment has been destroying the city and scarring its inhabitants for years. Those who are left in this crumbling metropolis struggle to survive. They don't take kindly to strangers. Unless it's as a food supply...

Canyon of Dark Souls: The unquiet dead are waiting patiently for you. They've been waiting a very long time. They've put out the unwelcome mat just for you. Be their guest...

Grown Evil: Is it a peaceful oasis or a garden of gore? Only one way to find out. You might not want to stop and smell the roses, though...

Nightmaze: Enter the labyrinth and try to find your way out. The maze is apt to change as you try to traverse it, though. No one ever said Lady Luck was good at playing fair...

7: Seven deadly sins, seven deadly temptresses to show them to you. Temptation has never been so terrifying...

Your Luck Has Run Out: Take on Lady Luck herself. Make the right choices and you might survive. Make the wrong ones and it's anybody's guess...

Shows

Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure: Of course it's back! What pop culture icons will this fan-favorite take on this year? Only one way to find out -- be excellent to each other! (Please note: this show often contains launguage and innuendo best suited for grown-ups. If you've come out with kid, best to skip this one.)

Death Drums: A brand-new show for 2011 featuring extreme drumming that changes every time. Performs three times a night, and each performance is guaranteed to be different from the last.
